WOW August 30, 2010 Jason13498 I recently started playing bass for my church and was getting tired of having to borrow someones bass every time i wanted to practice. So I asked my preacher what his bass was and he told me silvertone. Whenever I looked it up on here I jumped out my seat. My bass just came in today everything is in awesome condition and the bass sounds great. The amp is loud for how small it is overall I am very excited about this bass its not a experts bass but for me being intermediate at playing it is well worth the price. Slick body sounds great and a must have for any beginner bass player without a lot of cash. Would defiantly buy another given the chance
Bass Guitar from Amazon Rocks! August 11, 2010 Tom C 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The beginner bass guitar kit was as good or better than advertised. For the price, a quality instrument that is ready to plug in and rock. The only missing piece of the puzzle would be to add some practice headphones. Definitely good enough for any beginning student and I would recommend. I live near a Guitar Center and went over and checked out what they had in stock, but found this to be a better product at a better price than what they had in the store.
Pretty good starter bass August 4, 2010 Chauncey Three words: This Bass Rocks! As a fairly new bass guitarist, I was looking for a bass guitar that has good sound quality, little fret buzzing and more good Pros. This bass guitar has few if little cons. In fact, I can't really think of anything that is bad about the bass its self.
The Amp. The amp its self is a pretty good practice amp. Hence the name, it is for practicing so you would not find too much loudness or a lot of settings on it. Its a pretty fine bass amp! :D.
The gig bag. As for the gig bag.. it literally has no padding or protection for the bass its self. Also, the strap for the bass is a pretty good one. Although in my opinion I would use a Guitar Hero or Rock Band guitar strap, just because I like those better :P
The DVD is also very helpful if you are a true beginner to the bass guitar. It introduces to you the "need to knows" about the bass guitar and a few scales and such that would make you feel as a pretty good bassist.
All in all, this is a pretty good bass guitar package! :D
Poor quality July 29, 2010 M. J. Eckstein 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Amp is ok and even the bass isn't awful, but the fret nut broke right away, and I've seen that problem discussed here and elsewhere.
Everything you need! July 28, 2010 samb (San Antonio, Texas United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This bass guitar is fantastic in sound, and the build is very solid. This is a great beginner package, and the amp has served me just fine, even though it has stirred some controversy in the other comments.
